 A few steps need to be given attention prior moving ahead in drafting, are:

Information to be asked from the clients:

1) Orientation of the house/ facility (Directions )

2) Data about presence of other buildings /structures surrounding the building.

3) Location of road .

4) ask for any specific requirements if they want it as the same.

How to begin the drawing:

1) make a rough drawing on paper by adjusting sizes of attributes (rooms, washrooms, kitchen, hall, balcony, verandah.)

2) Open Auto cad and set the units (engineering is preferred)

3) the simplest way to draw lines is begin with construction line (XL)

4) use offset command to draw the dimensions in length or width.

5) once the dimensions are drawn as per the requirements remove the unwanted or extended lines using "trim command" .

6) natural ventilation should be given in all the attributes.
